M V Nihal Narayan Rao.

I build mobile apps in React Native, write backends in Node.js and FastAPI, and build open-source developer tools. Creator of notifkit.dev (delivering 230K+ notifications daily at my org) and working on featkit.

Where I have worked

Aug 2025 to present

Software Engineer @ Silo Fortune

  • Built the backend for gausampurna.com, using PostgreSQL, Redis, job queues, and distributed cart locking to prevent checkout race conditions across hundreds of daily orders.
  • Built and launched the Kissan Sampurna React Native mobile app from an empty repository to Google Play with over-the-air updates.
  • Integrated an AI voice assistant supporting 10 Indian regional languages with latency under 700 ms, costing under $0.50 per user for a full day of conversation.
Feb 2025 to Jul 2025

Software Developer Intern @ NVIDIA

  • Built an AI agent that parses test steps from Jira tickets, translates them into executable test sequences, and runs them autonomously on remote GPU test servers.
  • Wrote a Node.js service with live terminal session streaming over WebSockets so QA engineers could trigger, monitor, and debug remote test executions in real time.
  • Extended the internal Python test framework with core automation APIs and helper functions, enabling QA engineers to author and automate test suites across new hardware features.
Nov 2024 to Feb 2025

Software Engineer Intern @ AltQube

  • Built the mobile trading app in React Native and TypeScript, connecting directly to Zerodha, Upstox, and Angel One broker APIs.
  • Implemented live portfolio tracking with websocket price feeds, multi-asset analytics, and interactive charts.
  • Wrote a FastAPI microservice to send transactional alerts through WhatsApp, push notifications, and email.
  • Containerized backend services with Docker and set up automated CI/CD pipelines on AWS.

A bit about me

I am a software engineer. I build mobile apps, backend services, and developer tools.

Currently, I work at Silo Fortune building backend services and low-latency voice AI pipelines. Previously, I developed GPU test automation agents at NVIDIA and mobile trading software at AltQube.

I also maintain open-source projects including notifkit.dev, featkit, and truecaller-react-native.

I am open to engineering roles, contract projects, and collaborating on open-source software.
